Delayed painting

The painter arrived before 8:00 this morning, but first wanted to confirm the paint colours we’d selected, and then he said he had to go out and buy the paint. And then he messaged a bit later on his way back and asked if I minded if they don’t start work until tomorrow. He said there was an issue with their van and the other members of his team.

Anyway, he brought the paint and some other gear over and put them in our garage until tomorrow, and said they’d start first thing tomorrow morning. So it was a bit of an anticlimax after all the preparation we did.

I used the time to make another Darths & Droids strip, and took Scully for a walk, and then got ready to go into the city for the final project tutorial session of this year’s image processing course.

I stopped at Harajuku Gyoza Beer Stadium to have dinner. I’ve been here a couple of times before and enjoyed the food. And they had a Monday/Tuesday special, with two gyoza plates for the price of one! So I got two plates of five gyoza, and some chicken wings that came with my beer, and some karaage cauliflower on the side.

It was delicious.

The final university session was not very busy. Most of the students had decided to work at home. We knocked off a little early and I headed home. And hopefully early tomorrow morning the painting will begin!
