Friday was online board games night, so I skipped my update as usual. During the day I did my final five critical thinking classes before taking the next week off for our home repainting. I also did some more packing of stuff, taking three more boxes full of books down to the garage.
I only realised too late that the current book I’m reading was nearly finished, and I didn’t have any other books still unpacked to start on. But fortunately today when going through piles of unsorted stuff that gathered on my desk, I found my copy of Scum and Villainy, which I can reread. I need to reread it anyway to refresh myself on the rules in preparation for running a game soonish.
For games night, we played online, and we had a new game that a friend had implemented on his Discord bot: Apples to Apples. This is an old favourite of ours to round off a night of games in person, and it was fun playing an online version, with a lot more custom cards added to the decks. We also played a game of Just One, another bot implemented game.
Today, Saturday, I did a 5k run in the morning. Then worked on Darths & Droids most of the day, as I’m down to no buffer and want to build it up again. I completed two strips. I also took Scully for a couple of walks alone, since my wife was out for the day watching a matinee performance of a play. When she got home we drove up to the hardware store to get some more moving boxes for packing things into – although a friend of mine suggested moving bags instead, which are good for lightweight stuff like clothes, which is exactly what we needed them for. So we got some of those.
For dinner tonight I made a lasagne, with mushrooms and mixed beans. Yum!
